Settled cosily between the sheep studded fields of Romney Marsh, and the beautiful sandy beaches of Winchelsea and Camber Sands and overlooking Rye Bay - Rye has an enormous amount to offer. Restaurants featuring Salt-marsh leg of lamb stuffed with local damsons, Roasted Rye Bay black bream, Local wild boar pate with fruit chutney from nearby orchards are throughout the town.

Wines from the local Sandhurst Vineyards, Carr Taylor wines and Chapel Down are also widely available and a host of small local butchers, fishmongers, delicatessens, bakers and greengrocers are always filled with fabulous local goods. We are especially lucky to have our own fishing fleet which lands Rye Bay fish at Simmons Quay daily (weather permitting) and where you can buy the freshest Gurnard, Dabs, Whiting, Lobster and Scallops in season. |

| Don’t miss a visit to the weekly Rye Farmers Market on Wednesday 8th with a chance to taste locally cooked pies and baked goods. The Farmer’s Market on Strand Quay is now in its seventh successful year and visitors to the special market during the festival will be able to take advantage of 10% discounts at the various stalls. You will be able to taste and buy a selection of fabulous local wines, beers and fruit juices. Stands regularly feature great organic breads, game, smoked meats and sausages, flavoured vinegars, pickles and jams and locally made cakes, home grown vegetables and Rye Bay fish. | ||
